Pioneer Physicians Network Expands Care Team at Family Practice Associates

North Canton physicians join expanded care team at Family Practice Associates in Massillon on June 1

MASSILLON, Ohio— Pioneer Physicians Network announced that North Canton Family Physicians will permanently close effective June 1, 2026, with Drs. James Phillips, Kristen Shaub, and Leonard Tamburro joining Family Practice Associates, Inc. in Massillon as part of an expanded team of physicians and advanced practice providers.

The transition brings Drs. Phillips, Shaub, and Tamburro together with Drs. Leslie Murphy, Terrance Simon, and Michael Tandon at Family Practice Associates. “This transition is designed to strengthen care delivery by bringing providers together in one location, enhancing collaboration and expanding access to care,” said Jason Shawbell, President of Pioneer Physicians Network, Inc. The expanded provider team will also include advanced practice providers Sandra Greene, Dana Walker, and Jessica Yagiela, offering greater appointment availability, including increased same-day visits for acute needs.

Patients currently seen at the North Canton location should expect no disruption to their care. All Pioneer Physicians Network providers share a single electronic medical record system, ensuring seamless continuity. Appointments scheduled prior to June 1 will continue at the North Canton office; appointments on or after June 1 will take place at the Massillon location. Appointment reminders will reflect the updated location.
