Dr. Kathleen Shoemaker is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician, and has been in private practice since graduating from her residency in 1999. She is a graduate of Ohio University College of Medicine, completing a traditional osteopathic internship at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital followed by an Internal Medicine residency at Summa Akron City Hospital.
Dr. Shoemaker continues to perform hospitalist duties for the Pioneer Physicians Network at Western Reserve Hospital, which allows her to continue in-patient care for her patients as well. She has been on teaching staff since 1999, training medical students, residents and nurse practitioner students. Currently she serves on the executive medical staff of Western Reserve Hospital, as well as Vice-President and Contracting Consultant for Pioneer Physicians Network, Inc.
Dr. Shoemaker grew up in the Akron area. She is married with two children.
